World History Teacher

 Job Description: 


1.Design and deliver no more than 26 lessons per week of an appropriate level, standard and quality as required by the course syllabus;


2.Collaborate with other teachers to support the subject and also students in their learning and development;


3.Design and mark formative assessments and monitor students’ learning in conjunction with other teachers;


4.Provide prompt and appropriate feedback to students on their performance;


5.Have parents meeting and communication at least once a semester;


6.Provide with summative assessment as required by school policy; grade these assessments to meet deadlines;


7.Maintain accurate records of student performance and monitor student attendance, and as required, to prepare appropriate reports;


8.Participate in committees or meetings associated with the operation and management of the school’s programs as required by school management;


9.Act as mentor to students and offer guidance on living and studying in a Western countries and in Western colleges and universities;


10.Take part in staff development activities both as a trainer and trainee;


11.Be responsible for the safe keeping of any equipment, books or other school resources used in connection with academic and administrative activities;

1.Bachelor degree or above in relevant subject area;

 Job Description: 


1.Teaching at the kindergartens involves educating the whole child; nurturing the children, developing their academics, character, health and their emotional wellbeing.


2.In addition to this, the kindergarten is mindful of the fact that language is the means by which we all communicate with, and interpret, the world. It is therefore an amazing advantage for the children there to be working in a language rich environment - and it will be a fantastic skill for them when they go out into the world. This means the teachers need to be comfortable working as part of a teaching team, usually comprising a western teacher, a senior Chinese teacher and junior assistants. This does mean the kindergarten has a generous student to teacher ratio, but has high expectations of the staff and expect them to meet these expectations.


Requirements


1.Minimum Bachelor Degree in Early Year Education or Primary Education from a recognised institution, involving not less than 2 years full time study;


2.Teacher Certificate, Diploma or other Teacher Accreditation courses and certification are required if the applicant’s degree is not in Education;


3.At least two years of relevant teaching experience in international school(s) or multicultural school community;


4.Teaching Experience of Early Years or KS1 (especially in project-based learning);


5.Experiences in PBL teaching or IB curriculum or Reggio Emilia curriculum is preferred;


6.Energetic and enthusiastic personality;


7.Willingness to work as part of a team and being comfortable in a working environment with culture diversity;


8.Believe in a whole child approach to learning.
